This edition commemorates the 30th Anniversary of G-Shock’s partnership with I.C.E.R.C., which started with the release of the DW-6100DW-9 in 1994.
This year’s trio of watches have a white and gold color scheme to represent summer and the anniversary celebration. They feature new artwork by Hitomi Arata, with thirty types of whales and dolphins, that adorns the bands and packaging. The bezels and bands are made of bio-based resins, and the packaging is made of recycled cardboard and includes a cotton drawstring bag.
The Frogman GW-8201K-7JR is a Tough Solar-powered GW-8200 model with a gold ion-plated titanium screw-back case, Diver’s 200M water resistance, and tide and moon graphs. The GW-8201K is a relatively smaller and lighter Frogman model measuring 52 x 50.3 x 18 millimeters and weighing 84 grams. The GW-8200 series started in 2022 as another revival of the second-generation Frogman DW-8200 from 1992 and serves as the base of limited editions.
